Geofences

Geofences are objects of type geo: zones, areas and buildings, each with its geometry. They are read, created, updated and historised through the generic endpoints, like assets.

The geometry is held in mutable.geometry as a GeoJSON polygon or multipolygon, and descriptive properties such as the site, area and zone in mutable.customProperties. Geofences may overlap.

When an asset's position falls inside a geofence, the geofence's name is listed in the asset's location.geoFeatures, and the asset's history records when that changed. The assets currently inside a geofence:
